Firstly, target groups of our project are college, university bachelor, master and PhD. students, college teachers, trainers, university lecturers, researchers and scientists who are interested in improving their knowledge and understanding of mathematics.
Character of the mathematics is abstract. For not concretizing the mathematics is not liked lots of students and for that reason students are hard pressed to learn mathematics. With this project students who are in the target groups are going to beat fear of learning mathematics and understand these lessons permanently, concretely. Also together with we are going to prepare this project with animations, interactive tests, and Maple aided web interfaces in the web page, the themes of mathematics will be taught to students concretely.
The partners of the project are Selcuk (P0), Gazi (P1) and Erciyes (P2) universities from Turkey, Helsinki University (P3) from Finland, Pontificia Comillas University (P4) and Salamanca University (P5) from Spain, Plovdiv University (P6) from Bulgaria, The University of Economics and Computer Science (P7) from Poland and Academy Association (P8) from Germany. Turkish partners are one of old and well known universities and sufficient enough to apply the project.
We have transferred our project's idea from our partners such as Helsinki University from Finland (Cordis Project-WebALT), Pontificia Comillas and Salamanca Universities from Spain (Socrates Minerva Project-Xmath) and Plovdiv University from Bulgaria (LdV Project-EVLM).
The concrete outputs of the project will be; web site and online communication media, associated lecture education program, education methods and materials, pilot lessons and materials and certificates.
As abstract outputs of the project, project partners will gain cooperative working skill, cultural and linguistic improvement, equality of opportunity, besides e-learning and using computer.
Usage of internet is becoming widespread in the world. For that reason lectures are given on internet media day by day. With this project, telling the subject of mathematics lectures will be provided on internet media supported with animations. Also it is aimed the knowledge to be permanent with Maple supported web interfaces.
